Our approach to privacy

Eletron is designed around trust, safety and independence. We apply the same principles to personal information. This notice explains how Eletron Technology Limited handles information collected through the Eletron website and through direct correspondence with us.

1. Who we are

Eletron Technology Limited is the controller responsible for personal information described in this notice.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you contact us, complete a form, request a demonstration, register an interest or submit a reservation, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, delivery address, organisation, role, areas of interest, contact preferences and the contents of your message. A reservation also includes your selected package, indicative prices, future-service interests and the confirmations you make before submitting it. If you choose to receive news and updates, we also record that choice.

Technical information

Our hosting provider may record limited technical information in server logs, such as an IP address, browser type, requested page, date and time. This is used to operate, protect and diagnose the website.

Display and accessibility preferences

If you select Calm mode or another display and accessibility option, your browser stores those preferences locally so they can be applied consistently as you move between pages and when you return to the site. These choices are not sent to Eletron.

Saved basket and package choices

If you add products to your basket or choose to save a package, your browser stores those choices locally so they remain available when you move between pages or return later. This may include the selected device, support plan, accessories, quantities, case colour, future-service interests and whether you chose a standard reservation or Founder Family route. These local records do not include your name, contact details or payment information, and saving them does not submit an order or enquiry to Eletron. If you deliberately complete the reservation form, the selected package is sent to us with the details you provide.

Optional analytics and advertising information

If you allow analytics, Google Analytics may receive information about pages viewed, the referring page, broad device and browser details, approximate location derived from an IP address and interactions we deliberately choose to measure. If you allow advertising, Meta and, when enabled, TikTok may receive similar website and campaign information so we can measure adverts and show more relevant Eletron advertising.

We do not deliberately send names, diagnoses, contact form contents, messages or selected areas of interest to these services. We also disable automatic data collection features where the service provides that control.

3. How and why we use information

UK data protection law requires us to have a lawful basis for each use of personal information. Depending on the circumstances, we use information to:

• reply to enquiries, arrange demonstrations, record and manage unpaid reservations, and take steps you request before entering into a contract;
• understand interest in Eletron and improve our website, products and services where this is in our legitimate interests and does not override your rights;
• send news and updates where you have given consent, which you can withdraw at any time;
• keep the website secure, investigate problems and prevent misuse in our legitimate interests; and
• meet legal, regulatory, accounting or other compliance obligations.

We do not use information collected through this website to make decisions about you solely by automated means.

Optional analytics and advertising technologies are used only with your consent. You can change or withdraw that consent at any time through Cookie settings.

4. Children and young people

Eletron products support children and young people, but this website and its enquiry forms are intended for parents, caregivers, educators, professionals and other adults. We do not knowingly ask children to submit personal information directly through the website.

If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

5. When we share information

We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share limited information with carefully selected service providers that help us host the website, deliver communications, manage enquiries or operate our business. Where you have consented, this may include Google for analytics and Meta or TikTok for advertising measurement. Some providers may also act as independent controllers for their own purposes, as explained in their privacy notices.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect legal rights or safety, or as part of a genuine business reorganisation. If information is transferred outside the United Kingdom, we will use an approved safeguard where one is required.

6. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose described in this notice, including responding to an active enquiry, managing an active reservation and meeting legal, accounting or security requirements.

Marketing contact details are kept until you withdraw consent or we determine they are no longer needed. Technical logs are retained in line with our hosting provider's security schedule. Your display and accessibility preferences remain in your browser until they are changed, reset or your local browser data is cleared. Basket choices remain until you clear the basket or your browser storage. A saved package remains until you reset it or clear your browser storage. We ask you to renew optional cookie choices after six months. Optional providers retain information according to the periods described in our cookie policy and their own notices.

7. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to ask us for a copy of your personal information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or provide it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

8. Cookies and browser storage

Necessary browser storage remembers your privacy choices, selected display and accessibility options, products placed in your basket and any package you deliberately save. Display preferences remain on your device. Basket and package records also stay on your device unless you deliberately submit a reservation or later use a checkout or contact process. Optional analytics and advertising technologies remain off unless you allow them. We use a basic consent approach, which means their scripts are not loaded and no information is sent to them before consent.

You can accept or reject all optional technologies with equally prominent controls, choose analytics and advertising separately, and revisit your choice through the permanent Cookie settings control in the footer. See our cookie policy for the technologies, purposes and expected retention periods.

Links to third-party websites and services may set their own cookies or collect information when you visit them. Your Eletron choice does not control those separate websites, and their privacy notices apply.

9. Security and external links

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure, but we review our safeguards as the website and our services develop.

Our website may link to websites we do not operate. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please review their notices before providing personal information.

10. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as the website, our services or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be made clear on the website where appropriate.
